Anyone want a large black and white cat? Just found Boycat atop the wardrobe, where he is not allowed to go. I did not see him get up there and it is quite a leap. The problem is getting down and he tends to land on my head, hence the bar.

Berry always likes to lie in that place. Hubby's just got out of that chair and he'll have to move Berry to sit back in it.

Van (Hoover Van Dyson because he likes his food) is a moggy who came to us out of the orchards six years ago starving.

The Vet listed him as a Cross Siamese but he fits the bill of a Cross Siamese Snowshoe. He has the body of a Domestic but markings and demeaner of a Siamese. As you can see he has crossed blue eyes, he has the "voice" and is very clever ... he can open the catflap backwards when locked pulling with his claws! He also has a hairlip! Snowshoes have to have the white blaze and four white feet and is a pale fawn/grey colour, hence the name.

Fascinating; thank you. Those eyes are pure Siamese... Loved them but when I came to Ireland there is so much need of homes for strays I changed course

One of the latest trio I took in recently has a cry like a Siamese. Jet black, shorthair but with a white spot in every armpit, on her private place and on her upper chest.

I learned thus that she is part Oriental. Someone clearly escaped... Her intelligence is awesome and she is picky with her food. Deeply affectionate and small boned.

We seem to have a lot of nixed breeds here. Our Tabby had two Siamese brothers (the litter was thee Tabbies, two Siamese. She is tiny with a fixed crook tail as was one of the other Tabbies but not the Siamese. Van always bends his tail at the end but it does not have the fixed crook. Here is Chere Khan aged six months ...

                        Chere & Alstromeria.jpg

As we don't know Van's age, we gave him the same birthday as Munchkin, 17 May 2009, as Van arrived the week my sister died (17 May 2014). She had Siamese for years and I say she sent him. I say he was about 18 months - 2 years at the time but the Vet says 5 years (which I still disagree with). He loves Munch but she attacks him if he looks at her ... think it is the crossed eyes that spook her.

Here are pics of him two months after he came to us and was well fed during that time ... this does not look like a five year old ...

                        Van 16 Jul 14.jpg

Here is a recent quiet moment with the two and you can see the size difference ...

I like cats but hubby is very nervous around them. I had a cat when we were courting but hubby didn't much like it when my cat jumped on the back of the sofa where he was sitting.

Utter, total penitent submission and apology! Oliver ( as in he who always demands MORE) does this in my path whenever he has erred in any way … usually pinching food off someone else's plate...He is one of CIMG2877.JPG three young rescued street cats.
