Welcome to GC and your lovely Tortoise too. What is his/her name. I saw one crawling across a motorway sliproad here but the driver would not stop so I could jump out and get it.

 

Thank you. His name is The Mighty Thor but as he's grown I suspect he might be a she.

Sexing a tortoise can sometimes be challenging!

 

Had to clean the boys ears inside with a ear cleaner. They let me do it but I don't like it when they have to shake their heads a lot to dislodge what's inside, I always think that they'll damage their ear flaps.

We had a labrador when I was a kid.
She must have had 3 ops to get blood clots out of her ear flaps.
She was always shaking her head and remember ear drops running down walls where she was shaking head.

One of ours had blood in his ear and he wasn't shaking his head.
When they were older 2 of ours had ear flap hematomas, one was from rubbing his ears on the carpet.had to be operated on. The other one had them drained a few times which worked sometimes it doesn't.

 

Wow, I can't believe you have had her that long. She is still a beauty.
