      Yes, Rolo is fine, thanx for asking. He is on a 6 monthly check up now, plus we were running short on his eye drops. Persevering with the eye drops, we want him to have as long as he can with some vision. It's a good 95 mile round trip and he was a good boy until we were 500 yards from home, sick all over his bed. Now on the sofa fast asleep after the Mrs gave him a shower.

        @Garrett Is he a Radiated Tortoise? Saw lots of them on Madagascar but I understand they are an endangered species now.

        @shiney

        No, he's a Hermann's tortoise which is not on the endangered list, I've had him for fifteen years.

        He actually got me back into gardening after a few years of not bothering. This particular species mainly eats weeds (it's given me a totally different view of dandelions and clover in the lawn!) and flowers which I had to start growing e.g. nasturtiums, cosmos, snapdragons. Oh, and cucumbers. He adores cucumber.

            Chilling out :)

            Instead of going back to work in the garden I had to suffer being a cushion and have tea and cake brought to me :noidea:

              Shiney I notice in all the pictures of your mate there he seems have his claws extended.
              Do some cats have this, only the little one who visits me only shows claws when he stretches after sleeping or when he is climbing.

                  @pete some cats can't retract their claws . When I was 6 I was allowed my own cat ( my older sister also had one too), despite Trixie not being able to pull her claws in she was so gentle and never once scratched me . Even when I snuck her into my bed at night and she wriggled her way down to sleep over my feet....this was something that was not allowed , it was only many years later that I realised my parents always knew where she spent her nights!! :heehee::cat-kittyandsmiley:

                      Not saying this is a natural thing for certain cats just that some cats are born with this inability.

                          Not mine, but I know why my watering can seems to always be empty.
