Show Off Your Pets 2025

Been there @Michael Hewett - very difficult to give medication as they seem to sniff it out - or spit it out! If you put on normal food, they usually suss that something if off and refuse the meal. Try the liquid ‘licky’ treats in a tube and either dip the syringe in that so you can squirt the medicine in whilst they enjoying the treat or maybe just mix it and hope she will go for it.

@Michael Hewett Oh gosh I’m sorry to hear how difficult it has been with Bella taking the liquid medication, it is so frustrating when you can’t persuade them to take it If it’s only a tiny amount of liquid the pill assist pockets may help, I hope you can find a way to make this work so you both benefit.

 

Many years ago we had a Labrador who wouldn't take her heart medication, it was in tablet form, I used to hollow out two chocolate drops, put the tablet in the hollow and warm them up to stick them together.

Animals are very clever at avoiding eating something they dont want, I just wish they were as fussy at avoiding things we dont want them eating.

 

The Squeak enjoying the sun on the roof of my dirty car whilst Van was in his tree house and Munchkin was anyone's guess ? .... Will we ever know where he lives? ... it has been a year now!

It makes me laugh ... Munch came in and Van went up into his tree house in the Jacaranda ... so The Squeak arrived for a snooze ...

 

River so proud that he destroyed a raggy rope toy, he chewed the one knot so it came undone, so i cut the excess off. Once he digested a lot and it came out the other end but got stuck so i had to pull it out.

 

I bought Ben a small football with rope attached so that he could get hold of it.
Took two days for him to chew the rope off, now he cant get hold of it.

I'm not wasting anymore money on stuff that is chewable.

Here is a picture of Van (Butterball) from behind. T'other Half calls him Bubble Butt). Hr looks more like an oven-ready turkey when he is hunched down but difficult for me to get a photo. He is lovable and cuddly.

 

@Victoria he looks a real big softy. Can't wait to see the oven-ready turkey photo!
