I have recently purchased a snow fountain weeping tree and will probably plant this in the ground soon. When it is at ground level a couple of branches will touch the ground. Should these be trimmed? I see these should generally be trimmed in summer to avoid disease.

If they are not touching the ground much you could leave them on till after flowering.
