Hello all! I'm new to the forum and got into gardening the year before last. So I'm fairly new to it all.

We have just moved house and I have not one but two new gardens. (Back and side)Lucky girl. I've inherited alot of plants that are already established and some I have no clue what they are.

What on earth is this? I'm worried its going to get quite invassive and I'm wondering should I get rid of it? Move it? Its hidden from view next to a budliea (sp?) Does it flower?

I just ran out and took a pic of it. Hope I can do this image thing right.

    Thanks all

Hello seampoints and welcome to GC.

Basically I agree with pete that it is a Tamarisk ... only if you see pink fluffy bits (very technical in gardening terms) on it in the Spring there ... they bloom later and longer here. I would love one but t'other half is not so keen. [IMG]

They need pruning after flowering to maintain a good shape.

Yes I would agree with Pete and LoL. My neighbours on both sides have one. It can grow into a good sized tree.
