squash

    i have a well established butternut squash plant it is 36 inches long with two shoots either side it is growing on a mound do ihave to pinch out the grwoing tips at all [​IMG]

    You don't have to, but I have been told that more fruit are produced on sideshoots, so I'm stopping the leader at about 36" this year.

    dear supersprout thank you for your reply most appreciated it is my first attempt at growing a butternut so i will keep my fingers crossed from fusspot
