Starling proof bird feeder.

    That's a lovely picture Sheal :). They do seem to enjoy communal bathing.

    We have large flocks of Starlings that come to the Island for breeding and over wintering. We get them on the overhead cables too and in the trees. The noise is incredible as is the amount of poo produced :hate-shocked:. They are quite an amazing sight, especially when the individual flocks gather together prior to departure in Spring and Autumn.

    I don't mind the Starlings having some food but they grab it all and my little birds get pushed out. I've bought a couple more hanging feeders and spread the food around over a wider area, which hasn't solved the problem but has slowed them down a bit. Yesterday they devoured 12 fatballs, a large fruit bowl of suet pellets and a hanging feeder filled with suet pellets in half an hour :yikes: :huh:.
