Since I moved here I have only rarely been able to play my CD,LPs and tapes on my HiFi. Whilst the sound proofing is excellent in my house for everything except drills and hammers(theirs not mine) - for some reason if I play any music on my hifi except the radio, no matter how quietly my neighbour appears to be able to hear it "its waking the children" "its too loud". Headphones were just a pain, being attached to wire to the hifi was soooo limiting - so I rarely listened to my music.

But now I am sitting here typing this - headphones on - and no wires, no limits anywhere in the house. Man its great - I got years of catching up to do - and all for under £50. (purring)

It's great when it works and and when you find the right technology for the situation. I take it you're refering infra-red or blue tooth stuff. Thought I'd like to try that out for myself!

Happily my neighbours are either very tolerant or it's as well my pc (where I play most of my music) is on the free side of our semi!

Don't think its blue tooth etc - just a tiny transmitter that plugs into the power and hi-fi. Headphones have batteries, and when switched on pick up the signal from the transmitter even in the loo :D - excellent
