    Had to stop and photograph these,gorgeous in the sunshine........and the smell was fantastic.

    Thanks for the thanks, there are not many council run nurseries left in the country as most have been sold off (my previous nursery at Havant became a housing estate) so I am lucky to still be here. There have been attempts to close ours to save money but we have proved it is cheaper to grow our own than buy it in. Growing for clients helps balance the budget but every time new councilors are elected we hold our breath!

    Good point! We have verges and roundabouts covered in crocus just now - a real cheer-er-upper! Even the most hardened heart must surely swell seeing such vivid, colourful displays around town!
