      Thank you Fern and Mowgley yes I am on the same planet I think,its just that I live on the top of a hill and my bedroom window faces a straight line to where the sun rises in the east,so every morning as I awake its the first thing that I see and the camera is within easy reach and hey presto,I like to share the sunrise with my friends;)

              If that was the case for me, I'd have my camera on a tripod with a radio controlled shutter release and a eye-fi card to send the pics to my tablet to view whilst lying in bed without having to get out of bed - I'm becoming more interested capable of taking pictures of sunsets these days.

                      Good morning Scrungee my friend I take the images from my bed with a 70 x 300 lens but have to sometimes use a medium density filter if its to bright;)
