Lovely piccies Thistlegarden. Good camera - like the spider in Centaurea glastifolia. I must confess I don't know much out this genus? Is Cupids Dart or Catananche in the same family?

Hi TG, at the moment I've got Centaurea Jacea, Atropurpurea, and Alpestris in the border by the Green House. I like the strong colours and shape of the flowers so I might grow some more:snork:

        Excellent series of photos TG!
I particularly liked the Cynara cardunculus flavescens. Googled it and your photo of the young plant on Flickr was top of the list - it looks a bit of a fearsome little thing!

You're welcome, TG. I don't need anything in exchange as my borders are full to bursting every year, so unless I start planting on my garage roof...........:snork:

One of my weaknesses are the Aroids. I've carefully salvaged some Arum maculatum tubers as I've dug over the new garden.
