What a beautiful poppet Moxie was, Mum ... and please don't blame yourself. At least he went quickly and hopefully peacefully. Remember all the good times and don't dwell on the sadness, as it will pass with time. RIP Moxie. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

      Thank you!

I buried him this afternoon, in a part of the garden near the rear porch. Mainly because it is one area which doesn't get water logged; but sometimes, in the summer, I sit on the back step for reflection time. Also, so we have to walk past him whenever we leave the house that way. He was a very special boy. He is the only cat I have ever known who would lie in the crook of an arm and then lift both of his paws, cup my face in them and "talk" to me. Quite amazing and very endearing.

Youngest ds has taken it very badly; but, when he returned from school this afternoon, he looked at where Moxie now rests and he liked it and felt Moxie had been laid to rest "properly" (whatever that means).

I see what you mean about her eyes, they put me in mind of Audrey Hepburn - beautiful markings!
