If it is a used time travelling Helicopter , what do they measure the usage in , miles or milleniums
If you fill the petrol tank on it , do all your time travelling . Then return to 10 seconds after you filled up and voila a full tank again !

No because even though in the time line of the outside observer only 10 seconds have elapsed since you filled up, in the seperate timeline of the helicopter, it will still have used all the fuel.

I think I've mentioned before that a solution has been found to the problem of fuel for a time travel vehicle. The information is in the scientific paper entitled "The Endochronic Properties of Resublimated Thiotimoline"

For those of you that wish to read the full paper (10 pages) from the University of Southern California Santa Cruz (uscs) here it is:-
                http://danm.ucsc.edu/~phoenix/danm203/thiotimoline.pdf

If you want the layman's version:-

Thiotimoline is notable for the fact that when it is mixed with water, the chemical actually begins to dissolve before it contacts the water. This is explained by the fact that in the thiotimoline molecule, there is at least one carbon atom such that, while two of the carbon's four chemical bonds lie in normal space and time, one of the bonds projects into the future and another into the past. Thiotimoline is derived from the bark of the shrub Rosacea Karlsbadensis rufo.
The physical effect of this is that whatever the chemical is attached to will move through time, if water is attempted to be added to it.
The rationale for thiotimoline's behaviour: namely that the chemical bonds in the compound's structural formula are so starved of space that some are forced into the time dimension. Thiotimoline's time of solubility varies depending on the determination of the person adding the water, a phenomenon known as "willosity".
