    Yup - surprised one when cutting the grass in my wild bit. There's also usually one in amongst my pots on the patio - saw him earlier this year, but not recently.

    I saw one a week or two ago when I moved a pot to turn my compost.

    I haven't seen one for a year or two, I love toads they're so cute aren't they? we used to have them in the garden as kids, we'd feed them woodlice & worms and make them 'toad houses' and they actually preferred them!! :D

    Perhaps they hide in hot weather? Toads, hedgehogs, donkeys, badgers, moles, all lovely.
    Have you seen the pictures of the american frogs that children dress up? :eek:

    my husband said their has been a toad the last two nights sitting on our front door mat..this is late after 11 and he said it wont move to let him get in :D last night he woke me up as i could hear him shouting at something to move..! and it was the toad..He has a dry sense of humour and he said to me that the toad can hear all the fans running and he fancys coming in for some air also..I think its living in my hyssops as its dense in their and its by the front door,,

    A very handsome boy,not fully grown yet,but well on the way.
