As a kid (35 years ago)I used to help pollinate my dads tomato plants in the greenhouse using the tip of a feather. I've just got my own greenhouse and am growing tomato plants inside it. I also have some outside that were started off in the greenhouse. The plants outside seem to have much more fruit on than the one's in the greenhouse.

My question is, do I still need to assist the greenhouse tomatoes with pollination? I've been told most varieties are self pollinating now-a-days!

Hi EP and welcome to GC.The only suggestion I can give you for your indoor tomatoes is to try and spray the flowers with a fine mist of water, which will help the pollen to run.You could do with some bees getting in to the greenhouse to do their work.
Make sure to leave the door and windows open during the day,so that insects have a chance to get in there.
If you still have no luck them I am afraid it is back to the old feather routine or do it yourself with a fine artists paintbrush
