Hi all, im just wondering if I can get my tomato plant to carry on to go through to next year, ive been told that they should only be kept for 1 term but my plant still looks very healthy and it would be a shame to compost it. It is a patio plant, i made sure of that as my partner hasn't "got round" to putting my greenhouse up yet! Would bringing it inside over the winter keep it going? Any ideas would be very welcome!!! Thank you :happydance:

Tomatoes in their natural environment are indeed (short lived) perennials, but to be honest, in this country its not worth trying to overwinter them. One of the reasons is, apart from the warmth requirments, the day length. In central or south America, where they originated the day length doesn't vary as much as the northern (or southern) hemisphere.
