                  You never no what your near to Pete, I was once working for Chippendale doing a kitchen stand at the idea home exhibition Earls court, we had walked past this bin 15 minutes before detonation hotel was only a few hundred yards away, luckily no one was injured.

                    I will never forget, one night I was on a late turn and pulled into Hammersmith Bus Station to load up for my last run of the night. As I pulled up at the stop, a Bus Station Official got onto the bus - "Evening driver, I'm afraid I need to ask you to switch your engine off and stay with your bus...... you won't be going anywhere for a while."

                    "Can I ask why?", I responded

                    "The police have just shut the entire area down as they've had a bomb threat stating that there is a device"

                    "Oh, that isn't good!!" says I

                    "No, it isn't - worse still, the device is alleged to be somewhere on Hammersmith Gyratory"

                    For those that do not know the area, here is an image that will give you an idea - the blue represents the roads affected, and the red shows the approximate position of my bus.

                    As you can imagine, I was less than happy.......

                      Once when I worked in a shop on the high street, the bank next door was robbed during my lunch break. 2 armed men got away on a motorbike.

                          Many, many years ago i had my first new lorry stolen, they found the gear box and few bits and bobs in a scrap yard, never found the trailor and the load of fertilzer may have been used as fertbombs a few months later in london
