got my climber starting to grow up a trellis. Should i prune off the new stems that are facing away from the trellis?

Good morning @Snorky85 This is only what I would do, if you have left it to late and cannot bend them so that you can tie them to your trellis,I would remove them with a clean and sharp pair of secateurs ,or you could just leave them this year, and tidy it up when its in its dormant state,it depends on what you want from your Rose and how you want it to look:smile:

Thanks @woo i'll have another look and see how flexible they are. If not i'll leave for now, but I was thinking that if I cut them off would they concentrate their energy on growing the stems up the trellis?(not sure if it works like that?!)
