Tree help?

    Hi, we've turfed our front garden and would like to plant a tree. I've seen the ideal tree but I'm not too sure what it is.

    I think it may be a Highclere Holly but the ones I've seen in nurserys dont have a single trunk like this one.

    It's probably just a normal holly as they don't grow like that naturally they would have to be clipped and grown specially to be like that

    I agree, thats clipped to that shape, not natural growth.
    It looks pretty old to me.

    Cant tell what it is though.

    Its definately clipped.

    To give you a head start try contacting topiary nurserys and get a sphere shaped standard one this way a lot of the hard work has been done and you only need to woory about clipping it.
