        Thanks everyone for the replies :)

        A wattle tree looks very promising! It's in the uk down on the south coast and I've now remembered when I bought it someone mentioned something about Australia so that would make sense (big clearance sale with no tags) really want to get another for screening as ridiculously fast growing!
