Walking stick cabbage

l bought 3 walking stick cabbage to give me some fun ,however can one eat any part of it,and how long will it grow?

 

I grew these many years ago from seed that someone brought me back from Jersey.
They, as I remember grow for as long as you like, within reason.
They seemed to be a perrenial that just got longer and longer. I never tried eating any of them but they probably wont do you any harm, I think its a bit like kale.

 

They call them Couve galega here ... I just call them cabbages on a stick! They grow to 6 feet or more here and the leaves are taken off as and when required and the plant can live for years!
