Obviously the winter months are coming and the conservatory can get very cold. Just wandering what ways to keep it warm so I can still sit in there to read my paper or just relax. We have got electrical radiators however cost a fortune to run. Currently contemplating getting blinds on the roof. Any other ideas?

I would probably spend some money and install an underfloor heating connected to the main radiators heating system , as it`s not safe to install a metal radiatior because of thunders .
Perhaps there are replacement glass for conservatory , that works with solor energy , but not sure they work and how much are they.

I was wondering also, as I have two normal rads in my conservatory running off the main house boiler.
Works fine, but probably costs a fortune to run.
In fact whatever method you use you are likely to be throwing energy at it.

Blinds would help especially if you can get some kind of thermal blinds for the roof.

How about one of these babies:

I currently have a Calor gas heater in my 23 ft long living room, which I often use in winter instead of having the central heating on and it does the job brilliantly (on the lowest heat setting). The one I've got is a fairly basic one but I plan on getting one of the above ones this winter because it looks nicer and is more heat efficient (with much less condensation).

That looks nice Merle and saves the hassle of installation.
