Hi Thom, well I am no expert, but I know what I like...
I like your abstract paintings & 2011 seems much more productive & I like the use of the different medias in there too..
B & W photography is much more expressive & eye catching.. I think some of your subjects could be more striking & stark, although I love people doing their everyday things too.. Maybe add a couple of titles to your photos to give them more meaning.?

Hello Thom. Thank you for posting your work.
      If you want honest comment
your photos don't speak to me - but that might be something about me.
I like your abstracts - but my own personal preference is for a more semi abstract approach. Again I think that's just personal to me.
Enjoy your work - it's worthwhile.

      Hi Thom,

Although I'm not keen on abstract paintings I like the vibrancy that yours have got.

Bearing in mind that I'm no expert on photography, I do like the photos and the candid studies that you do fo the subjects but the tones could be brightened up a bit and the contrast increased. I think that the slightly dull effect of tones detracts from very good subjects.

Some playing around in Photoshop, or similar, could adjust this and maybe do some judicious cropping. Photos 1 and 3 could do with straightening up - which cropping could correct easily.

Sorry about seeming critical but you did ask. :)

      Overall, I really like them.
