Welsh cakes for St David's Day

    These are very similar to scones but daintier and somehow much nicer. They are cooked on top of the stove, ideally using a griddle or bakestone. I find a solid baking tray works just as well (flimsy ones just bend with the heat). Wonderful oozing with butter, if a bit calorific.
