A horrible accident. Straight away both Rossi and Edwards knew how terrible it was. Edwards was visibly devastated and Rossi's body language as he rode away said it all. Gutted for Marco but also for both of them.

How Rossi stayed on his bike I'll never know.

Marley, these things are so sad ... but they play dangerous games.

I am sorry but I cannot read your link as I get a message basically saying 'this media not allowed in my territory'.... but I have read of the tragedy.

That is two sad losses this past week in racing ...

A great loss to motorcycle racing and he was just starting to make his mark amongst the big names.

Six members of my family are motorcyclists my youngest daughter included in that. We also live amongst a biking nation here on the island. T.T. and Grand Prix are part of our lives for four weeks a year. Probably the biggest public road races in the world and most dangerous.

My son has always said if you have any fears when you are in the saddle then you shouldn't be on a bike anyway.

Racing and bikes are in their blood and nothing will stop them from doing something they love. They know the consequences and take it in their stride.

      R.I.P. Marco Simoncelli.
