Hi everyone, I've just searched the web found this site and registered in the last 10 minutes, so I'm kinda barging in, as I have a question , so I hope you don't mind :help:

I have these 2 plants/flowers/weeds...whatever they are growing in my garden, can anyone tell me what they are please? They are a profusion of colour and I rather like them, but I have no idea what they could be!

    first one....[IMG]

    Hi and welcome to GC.
What you have is a Clematis. I think it is probably Montana but others may disagree.

Hello jestlearnin and welcome to GC!

I agree ... Clematis and Lilac. I do envy anyone who has Lilac as the only one seen here is Melia, the Persian Lilac ... it's pretty but just not the same, and certainly doesn't have the heavenly scent.

    Lovely pictures by the way.

    Enjoy the forum.

Those flowers do appear to be doubles??? but on a Lilac....

    Here's an example of a close-up of Lilac...and it's not the same:scratch:

There are many double-flowered varieties ... the above could be 'Katherine Havemeyer' a lilac coloured one or 'Michel Buchner' a lavender coloured one ... I think it's the former.

Here is a white one ...
