Good afternoon I am reading "Dorothy Wordsworth Journals" her brother just loved and wrote many of his poems while walking in the countryside with his sister and and close friend "Samuel Taylor Colridge"his love of walking was on par with mine:smile:

In his summer vacation from Cambridge University in 1790, he walked right across revolutionary France, over the Alps and back through Germany (arriving late for the start of term). Wordsworth was still able to ascend Helvellyn, one of the highest peaks in the Lake District, aged 70

I recently read An Delicate Truth by John le Carré. I am beginning to change my view on his books and this was particularly good airing as it does his cynicism towards the workings of the state and the security services in particular.

It was followed by A Gentleman In Moscow by Amor Towles. Quite simply one of the finest books that I have ever read! I cannot recommend this book enough.
