This picture came from my brother. He's had a slight diversion from the vintage motorcycles he re-builds.

Can you guess what it is?

I know this is a bit of a daft thread, but it brings childhood memories back.
Here's an update on the go-cart. It's taking shape now. :)

Nowt as posh as that, just what we did in the 50's
Plank of wood, set of pram wheels, a coach bolt, four staples, and mums washing line
Just done one with the grandson (7) on his summer holidays, and delighted
Much better than his Electric Fire Engine, electric tractor with trailor

My old car tyre, hung on rope from a tree is much better than his climbing frame with all the do da's :-)
Mum and dad mortified, must have crash helmet, knee and elbow pads

Ooops just fitted a brake, wooden lever that rubs on the back wheel :-)

Ahhhhh! Those were the days eh Jack.

I remember my dad building us a wooden sledge, with a bogie on the front, fantastic! We were the envy of the neighbouring kids. :)

I've only just spotted this thread

When I looked at your first picture it took me back to my younger days - it's a ducking stool :heehee:

Ziggy, I did mean 'ducking'

The final pictures! The go-cart my brother has been building is at last completed. Thought you might like to take a look at the finished 'vehicle'. :)

      One helluva mean machine!

My brother's friend suggested he try it out down a local steep hill, he declined saying he would probably find the police in tow. :heehee:
