What is this amazing plant?

    It's just come into flower and I have never seen it before. (Sorry it is slightly blurred, snapped it in a hurry and cam focused on pieris! Doh!)

    It's called Bergamot or beebalm (Monarda didyma) although I'm afraid I don't know the cultivar as it appears to have another ring of petals growing above and out of the centre?

    ***Edit***
    Looked it up in a few books and it appears that Bergamot flowers readily double up and it's just a natural occurrence:cnfs:
