HoneyBee when I lived at home my next door neighbour had one. He still has it and its over 30 years old. He's had it renovated several times as they are absolute rust buckets. LoL in the 80's when the Beastie Boys were cool, people kept nicking his large VW badge. :D

:D :D :D and what pratts they looked like with those badges dangling round their necks!!!!
The boys gave me a ceramic VW camper (with purple flames and surf board on top) moneybox for my birthday so I could save up for one as I have always said how nice it would be to take them away in one!!! We always go to Cornwall Whitsun Bank Holiday, when the "Run to the Sun" takes place, so pass no end of broken down campers at the roadside!!!!! There is no way I would own one, as they are a drain on the wallet!! (but I found a couple of places you can hire them from.......) always said if I had been born years earlier I would have been a Hippy-Chic!!

Yes, but he's also got the money to throw away on it!!!!! I think he's had a porche engine put in it???? I did hear they were going to start making them again. If they do, I expect they'd be stupidly expensive, though!!

Recent competition here with Fanta ... the first prize was one of these and we laugh our heads off because they call it a "pao-de-forma" ... a loaf of sandwich bread! :D :D I'll put a pic up of the comp when I put a couple of pics up of the cars over the weekend.
