What's buzzing or flying near you 2023 ?

This Grackle looks a little cranky about having its photo taken. If looks could kill I'd be a goner.

The Reed Bunting is back again clearing up the mess the Goldfinches and Siskins made.

 

Thanks Sheal, it looks like Mother Nature could not quite make up her mind as to what colour to make this creature so she used a little bit of everything.

Plumage of both birds is almost identical Strongy. Difficult to tell them apart from a distance.

 

@Sheal Razorbills are darker than Guillemots but yes hard to id from a distance.

The two Little Owls were out at the quarry at Portland Bill but not sitting together.

This little lady looks like she is fresh from the beauty salon. It is a female hooded merganser, and we don't see too many of these as they are really shy creatures.
