I couldn't get in my greenhouse for ages yesterday because our robins have fledged and were being fed in there by an adult. I think they must have been fledged for a few days because they had the amazing robin hover perfected already.

Male greater spotted woodpecker at the feeder this morning. 2 house martins circling over the garden in the rain. Blue tits taking nesting material into one of the boxes. No signs of bees or butterflies...just too wet I suppose.

Blackie taking it easy on the compost heap yesterday, but today he's more interested in the worms on the lawn.

The pigeons are at their best. They are constantly eating the new leaves on the plums, gages and cherries. However the Morello cherry they leave alone as well as all the apple and pear trees in our orchard. What makes the plums etc so appetising for the pigeons?

That’s lovely. The fatsia makes for such a beautiful background.

No pictures to post as I'm far too slow and busy watching! Our Bullfinch pair are BACK! So, so pleased as last year the family found a dead male on their balcony. Mr Robin still feeding Mrs Robin mealworms, so no chicks yet, but can't be long now:fingers crossed:
