          @Jiffy ...:wow: bees in December! I've never seen any at this time of year. Bill Oddie was on Sky News and said queen bees come out in winter on mild days. What's the plant called that you're bees are visiting please? I think I'll get one for my new garden :) Bill said Mahonia is good for them in winter...might get one of them as well! :biggrin:

          The one in the picture is Viburnum Tinus and we have a Mahonia but the wind has blown all the flowers off this year, another one they like is winter flowering Honeysuckle

            Just be carefull you don't get Viburum Beetle/larve, they can cause a lot of damage in spring

                Five or six years ago the RHS declared the Viburnum beetle as the country's worst pest of the year. Fortunately there is a bug killer that works well on it and there's not so much trouble now. Keeping a close eye on the plant and spraying if necessary should give you no trouble with it.
