    She, the Redpoll, turned up again (while I was ironing:biggrin: ) so I grabbed a shot through the window and tried one outside the kitchen door even though it was blowing a gale, best I could do.

          That's a super capture Strongy.:blue thumb: I've only seen them once in our garden and that was a couple of years ago - they were hopping about on the ground looking for food among the bark chips under some bushes. We've never had them visiting our feeders.

          Only the male (left) has the pink/red chest, female just has the red cap.
          An hour after I posted four turned up!!
          Dave, they, like the Siskins stay at the feeders for quite a time, I just hope they stay around for the winter.

          Another day another Dartford, a male showed up on some dead Gorse after a long wait. They seem to have an affinity with Stonechats and are often seen near each other, this one was.
