    Oh, imp, I can sympathise.

We had the same thing happen three years ago on the IoW. We had also gone through several years of renovation whilst we were in the UK, being here the remainder of the year. We lived in an ex-royal mansion (called The Mansion strangely) which was converted into nine apartments. We had one on the ground floor. Because of the nature of the building, conversions were all different.

Our neighbours upstairs had their bathroom over our living room. When we went back for the summer from here, we were greeted with what you were this morning ... except ours was three times as large and had "festered" for several months. The smell was horrendous.

It was a nightmare of insurance companies fighting and not only that, because it was communal, the management had to be involved which was more of a nightmare as we were freehold owning the freehold ourselves and were fighting amongst each other.

It took several months to be resolved ... us suffering the most with a damp, holey ceiling in our living room for our summer there and then scaffolding up to repair the damage just before we returned here.

We sold it last October. [IMG]

I hope you get your problem resolved quickly and I'm so sorry it has happened after such long and hard work.

Good luck and bless you both. [IMG]
