A pretty good guess, ziggy , as it has some relevance the Christmas table. Unfortunately it's south of the equator but is a lot closer than Ankara - sorry gcc :(

I think I'll finish this one . It's Gubbio in Umbria.

It was a lot colder than it was in England and the water from the fountain was freezing as it hit the rocks and ice.

The building is the Palazzo Dei Consoli built in the 1330's.

      It's Queen Hatchepsut's Temple.

I took the photo from a hot air balloon and can definitely recommend the flight to anyone going there.

She was one of the most successful, and famous, of all Pharoahs and was 'King' of the Upper and Lower Nile regions for 20 years - approx 1500BC. She dressed as a king and wore a false beard.

The temple is built into the mountain/hillside and the other side of it is The Valley of the Kings. It's just across the Nile from Luxor.

        No 18.

I reckon that this one will have to be a real guessing game. So I'll try and answer your questions without giving too much away.

As drought has been mentioned in a lot of threads and many members have said that they don't water their lawns during drought, this picture came to mind.

It should be a lot easier than No 18 :heehee:
