Jessamine. Obviously the Casuals did, but I remember my clubbing days, there was a song that I'm 99% sure was Jassamine, but sang by a girl. If I remember right, it was a tiny bit slower than the Casuals.

    Ring any bells?

Nearly forgot, to job memories, in case it helps, here's the song sang by the Casuals. If only the Casuals sang it, then the one I'm trying to remember must have been something with similar lyrics and/or tune.

Apparently, Jesamine was originally done by The Bystanders

I can't rememebr anyone else covering 'Jesamine'. It was written by Marty Wilde under one of his pseudonyms - Frere Manston. He wrote quite a lot of songs.

Jasamine is a great song, but maybe its not the one I'm trying to remember.

I seem to remember the song featuring on a documentary of 'one hit wonders' or something. I think the very talented lady that sang the song I'm trying to remember tragically died in her prime of some rare undiagnosed ailment.

What made me thing of Jesamine is I'm sure the lyrics featured 'butterfly', 'free' and 'wild', but I might have even got that bit wrong.
