Willa, now 9 months, has just been dropped off at the vet's for her spay op. She was fine but, as I was with my other girl, I'm a drooling, quivering mess. Why do we do this to ourselves???
So, what shall I do to keep busy? I could go and dig some mud. Or tidy leaves out of puddles. Hmmm. How about taking a load of towels out to dry off some of the poor plants that look as if they need swimming lessons?

Aww, good luck Willa and :grphg: for you Lea. We do worry about them, don't we.

Hand bake some bread, Lea (that's what my mother used to do when she was upset about anything ... best bread we ever had!) and while it's being left to prove, give your other girl lots of fuss!

Soon be over and Willa will be home once again :grphg:

                Thank you all.
She hasn't really eaten yet and is sleeping a lot. I think she may be getting embarrassed at my fussing. :snork:
It's amazing how big a part of our lives they become isn't it?

They are a big part of our lives Lea, a member of the family. :) I haven't had a dog for four years now and still miss having one around, unfortunately I haven't been able to talk other half into another one yet, but I'm still trying!

Lady "see photo"had here's done 9 years ago when she was 18 month's old,we got her when she was 1 year old,she was of colour for 2/3 days but soon bucked up. She loves to come and get me up in a morning after she has had her treat (1 bonio) then waits for me to finish my breakfast so she can have a cup of tea:dancy::dancy: she has loads of pals down on the plots, some even have a bag of treats for her.
Glad to see Willa has got it over with and is on the road to recovery ,I'm sure like we all do at these times is that she will be getting plenty of extra cuddles.

good to hear she's back home safe & sound :doggieshmooze: i understand completely the fretting & worrying, as im sure most of us animal lovers do, its the price we pay for lovin' them so :imphrt: when our Polo had to have a minor operation on his eye...we couldn't bring ourselves to leave him there & go home without him...so we sat on the wall outside the surgery until it was time to collect him :oopss: ...about 2hours in all, did i mention it was November & lightly snowing at the time:oopss:

She is now stretched out on my bed, sleeping peacefully after a meal of rice and chicken. Her gut seems a bit upset. That didn't happen with my other girl. Hardly surprising though I guess.
Hmmmm, I may have to sleep on the floor tonight as she is taking up my whole bed!:doggieshmooze::snooze:

Did you manage to squeeze into bed, Lea?

How was Willa during the night: slept peacefully, I hope?

She slept like a baby and woke up bouncy and happy although her gut is still upset. She's playful though so I'm hoping the gut thing is just a reaction to the stress of the op or something.
Kept her on a lead for her walk but still she managed to get mucky and wet. She was a bit miffed seeing the other two dogs off the lead and running about but she soon settled down. It's so good to have them all back to almost normal again. :)
