    Fantastic Scotcat - haven't even sown mine yet. [​IMG]
    Just love the huge seed leaves of the curcubit family. [​IMG]

    Do you think I should pot them in to wee pots now Blackthorn?

    It is usual to wait until they have a couple of true leaves..by which time they will be 6ft tall be the look of them :D

    BTH :D know I took themout of propagator at weekend so now they are only gettign natural light in our conservatory greenhouses have no heat.

    These are mixed courgettes wont know yellow and green be a surprise.

    I must be growing giants then eh [​IMG] :D

    Have you got a poly tunnel for them to be planted into? I think you may have let your enthusiasm run away with you.
    They normally need just 6 weeks of growing before they are planted out. I plant mine out right at the end of May so they get sown April. I pre chit mine in the airing cupboard. I put some damp kitchen roll in a plastic container and scatter the seeds on top. as soon as the seed splits they are potted up into individual pots. By April they don't normally need a propogater and that method cuts out disturbance to the roots. Members of the marrow family have to be one of the fastest growing things around. Turn your back on them and your courgettes will have turned in to great big marrows.

    I have two greenhouse one of which has borders at either side of a path of flagstones.

    In the borders at the moment my strawberry plants are growing there.

    The other greenhouse has my benches all my containers with bulbs are on my benches.

    Well hopefully you may be able to grow an early crop of courgettes. They will grow in Growbags if you are short of border space.

    Thanks Geoff, you answered my question before i asked !

    Can I get 3 to a bag ? Never grown before but just planted today. Variety is "All Green Bush " ???
