This one stands approx 6' high.

Since taking these photos a moment ago, I've decided to cut a small V shape into the base of each section to lessen the chunky appearance of the base.

OMG what have you done now:snork:

Very nice my friend, trying to think of something really random for it to be clasping at the top.

Ziggy, I ahead of you there. I'd like to find some kind of black chrome sphere for the top.

I guess that I have missed the Jubilee opportunity, but could make it into an olympic torch holder!!!:snork:

The above also gave me an idea for another work in progress. I'm currently halfway through making something similar, but built around a large glazed plant pot. I'm also going to try my hand at staining the wood the same colour as the pot, and then gradually fade/sand the stain out as the shape rises. The wood also branches out into differing directions, and it should make for a very unique planter.:)

I hope to get most of it done this Tuesday.

Olympic Torch went thru my head too, but then I thought of the Van der Graff generator at the Science Museum.

Look great with lightning bolts coming out of it:runforhills:
