    Flies in my compost bin. White jumping ones!

    my bin is now in full sun all day with the lid on .... when I open the lid, lots of steam comes out ... so, I think that may be the trick to compost making ... flies won't survive that heat, and...

    Also if it's not well rotted you might find lots of weed seeds growing in it. For that reason I tend to bury my poorer home made compost 12" down in my veg plot.

    Hi Josie I have used B&Q for a number of years ,and have now been using the new brand 'Verve' for a few weeks . Seems fine at the moment..Was 3 ..70litre for £10.00 but now 3..60litre for £10.00...
