Ideas for tall, slim plant for summer container please
Polygonatum x hybridum. You could lift it in the autumn and find a permanent spot for it then. Or Dicentra.

Tulip bulbs - any tips on deterring rodents please (possibly squirrels) ?
You could wrap the tubs around the sides with mesh tall enough to accommodate the height of the flowering bulbs and cap this with more mesh. Not aesthetically pleasing but a possible solution.

The idea of pellets of lime is that it travels further when spread mechanically, reducing the amount of transits upon tramlines. Thought to be just as soluable as fines. Less dust too !
