How to get rid of Garden Moss!
I thought that dichlorophen was banned and there is no lawn moss killer only a moss control which is ferrous sulphate.

I don't think the shady area is a problem, you only have to find the ideal plants for it. Apart from what Sussexgardener suggested, you might add Astilbes, Aruncus, Astrantias to it to brighten up...

I had a visit from a large Red tailed bumblebee Lapidarius this morning in my conservatory. It rested up awhile and moved on, I assume looking for a nesting place. Its great to see them.

I agree that I don't have the stamina for winter gardening, although I am always jealous of gardens that look great in winter. I do think leaving stems and seed heads does a lot for the birds and gives your perennials more chance of making it through the winter.
