    Brown Rose Leaves

The leaves on an established rose plant have started to turn brown. Does anybody have any ideas what causes this and what I should do about it? about it?

One of my two Colquhounias is now deceased; curiously the more sheltered one is deceased' I suspect this was more the drought than the cold.

Rats - Should I not use compost?

Many thanks for your help folks. As we just grow flowers & shrubs at home I'll wait until compost is rotted down & use on flower beds as suggested.

    Very sad Clematis Montana

Not sure but it could be sooty mould from an earlier aphid attack. Aphids are often the carriers of viruses.
