What wrong with my roses stems?!?!

As Busy Lizzie suggested, I’d email DA. It can do no harm to ask and it will register your concerns if the rose should take a turn for the worse. Don’t forget, you have a 5 year replacement...

    Rose black spot.

Some roses get black spot more than others. If they are well fed and kept moist it happens less. I don't spray either and I don't bother too much anymore. Just one of those things.

    Clematis new growth suffering

It's probably aphids or thrips. I spray my infected plants with a bee-friendly bug killer.

What could be eating my Hellebore?

I sometimes leave the seedheads on too long and as a result the gravel path has a load of seedlings on it.

What month do sparrows eat greenfly in southern UK?

Blue tits eat them also, but as usual waiting for them to get on and do the job usually means the damage is done before they get going.
