We finally got rain last week that helped a bit but none forecast since then - until this evening. I'll get ready to go out and dance in it!

When I lived out in the sticks when I was a young man, I used to get the bus into town to go out for a night out. The bus only ran hourly, but about 5 minutes before the regular bus, if it was nearly shift change time there was an extra bus mainly for the ladies that worked in the clothes...

At school a fellow pupil told us a couple of Mormons had knocked on the door and they left at high speed when his stepfather came round the side of the house with an open shotgun over his arm; he'd just been shooting rabbits in the field at the back.
