If that machine is outside most of its life you would want to check the condition of the cutting deck....if thats rusted out you will prob spend in the region of 250 for new deck and fitted if your lucky.....if all ok, you will need to give it a full service which you can do yourself.....

They are ok....you would need to check what hours work is on this model if fitted with an hours clock on the dash?...many mowers are on their last legs at this age (if used and abused) and have faults,some serious and some not that the untrained eye cannot see in terms of engine ware and tear...
