    Have you seen the spear head shovel??

    It's a slight variation on a normal garden shovel, I'd say. A pointy shovel obviously requires less leverage to remove soil and thus less back strain.

    I have the 2nd one and the third one. My hand shovel comes with measurements on it. However, a gardener usually figures out measurements using her own thumb/hands/ fingers. ect. so she does...
