I'm still trying to plant my roses, dodging the wind and rain. So far I've managed one in a pot on the patio. Today I succeeded in repotting the £1 honeysuckle I bought last summer. I put it in a large pot last year and assumed it would be ok for awhile as it was tiny, about 6". Its grown like a trifid. :hate-shocked:. Whilst repotting I kept looking at the sad and sorry state the patio is in, but that's another job for better weather.

I moved my Thuja "Yellow Ribbon" (in a pot) but I'm not so sure I like it's new position, yet. Checked the four pieces of it that I took off last year and just stuffed into a pot (for no other reason than the pot was on hand) and I'm delighted to report: ROOTS coming out of the bottom of the pot!!! :yahoo: That's handy! I'll pot them on later in the month and see what happens next ;)

Trimmed the Sambucus Nigra, some pot roses and two hydrangeas that are also in pots.

Nature's way of 1) Spring cleaning your feathers and 2) drying the paint faster: win-win!! :hapydancsmil:

Hope you've got the sunshine that's smiling on the House of "M" today

                        Looking good @wiseowl

Yesterday I moved some more pots/troughs around the patio. Delighted that those el cheapo clematis from Morrison's last year are all showing signs of life, so looking forward to a nice display of colour from them this year.

Cut down the Sambucus Nigra but left one longish stem at the back (it's in a pot) to see what shape it takes this year.

Gave some pot roses a bit of a trim/prune.

Sprinkled some slug pellets along the side wall where I have bulbs and clematis growing.

Gave the patio a good sweep, but I think it needs a darn good hose down really.

                        Moved the tables and chairs.

Today it is raining, so it will be indoor seed sowing

A productive day in the garden today.

I finally got the new rose arch erected, it's been languishing in the garage for the past six weeks but I actually got round to putting it up today. Meanwhile, Mrs Trunky did a little tidying up and got about 50 yards of edging done. :)
